Born in Gallipoli (Lecce, Southern Italy, 1994).BSc Indutrial Engineering, 2015.MSc Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology, 2017.PhD Materials and Structures Engineering and Nanotechnology, 2021.Research experiences in Italy, Switzerland, UK.Scientific interests: nanotechnologies, microfabrication techniques, nanogenerators, piezoelectric and triboelectric materials/devices, MEMS/NEMS, composite materials, ceramic thin films, biomaterials, polymeric coatings, photoacoustic devices, nanomedicine, nanocarriers, drug delivery, bioengineering, biomedical devices.Hobbies: reading, playing piano (studied in a school for more than 10 years), painting, sightseeing, listening to music and keeping fit.During my PhD, I worked on a great variety of topics, in particular on the design and fabrication of ultrathin electromechanical transducers and nanogenerators for energy harvesting from water and wind sources, and for sensing on the human body, based on Aluminium Nitride (AlN) and poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF). Nanogenerators based on new devices, new approaches and new designs were proposed and analysed, resulting in 9 first-author article contributions and 1 book chapter.With a postdoc in EPFL I worked on optoelectronic neuroprosthetics and encapsulations for implantable biomedical/bioelectronic devices. I am currently a senior-level postdoctoral research associate at the University of Oxford, working on implantable laser-microfabricated devices for 3D bioelectronics and drug delivery.I am an engineer with a solid background in materials science and nanotechnologies for electronic and biomedical applications. I have a proactive attitude and results-oriented mindset: among my peculiarities there is the capability of accomplishing high-quality deliverables within tight deadlines. I am endowed with sheer strength of will, always eager to learn and willing to seize new opportunities: I am an energetic and enthusiastic person who strives for continuous professional and personal improvement.
