Senior Project ManagerTelettra - Alcatel Oct 1988 - Mar 1996For the first months I had the task to take care the final test of equipment data transmission.From July 1989 I was an analyst/programmer by using Cobol and Basic languages, in VAX/VMS and IBM/MVS environment. I also had the opportunity to go deeper my knowledge in the Personal Computer sector by using software products of analysis and methodology such as: Excellerator, Excel, ABC Flowchart, Winword, PowerPoint, Access, Lotus Notes, Dataease, E-Mail, etc.In 1990 I was part of a working group for the management of all the operation activities, programming, warehouse control and of the production areas inside a project for a complete revision of the industrial process, with the application of Japanese models “just in time” for the reduction of circular stock material.Inside the project my tasks were the study and the organization of the standards, and software development.Due to a merging between Alcatel and Telettra, the above mentioned project was substituted by another software package. In the spring of 1992 was created a new working group. Here at the beginning, my tasks were that to analyze the functionality of the package, quantify the necessary time and costs to implement it. So as Shop Floor Control, I attended the analysis for the personalization of Tolas, to adapt it to the firm needs and interface it with the system MRP II of the company.Following I coordinated a group of people, internal and external, to realize the necessary interfaces for the implementation of the package itself.The package above is operative at one of the two company plants with the biggest production. In the plant of Trieste, I was the responsible for the local users.In January 1995 inside an international project, as Italian coordinator for the areas of Purchasing and Marketing, I was in a group in co-operation with the French premises for the migration of informative systems in Unix environment.
