Consultant For Tunnelconsult Engineering Sl
Expert on Brenner Basis Tunnel working site with main services and tasks being compilation and interpretation of TBM excavation, probe drilling and monitoring data.The Brenner Base Tunnel (BBT) is a straight, flat railway tunnel between Austria and Italy, running from Innsbruck to Fortezza (55 km). The BBT consists of two tubes, each 8.1 m wide, running 70 m apart from one another and linked every 333 m by connecting side tunnels. An exploratory tunnel will run as well from one end to the other, lying between the two main tunnels and about 12 m below them and with a diameter of 5 m. The excavations underway on the exploratory tunnel should provide information on the rock mass and thereby reduce construction costs and times to a minimum, in addition of being essential for drainage when the BBT becomes operational. The mechanized excavation sections of these three tunnels (each one about 15 km long) from Mules Adit to Brenner, is carried out by means of as many hard rock TBMs from Herrenknecht.

Complementary an specialized geological and geotechnical studies finalized to a dam realization in the frame of the Quisco irrigation system Project, Alto Pichigua district, Espinar province, Cusco Region, Perù2015-2016: PH Miguillas (Bolivia) Reliability evaluation of the Reference Geological Model prepared by the client within the Project feasibility study and geological risks analysis.2014-2015 Bajoli-Holi HEP project (Himachal Pradesh, India). Assistance during construction, as Owner’s Engineer. The project involves the construction of an over 60 m high dam, an about 15 km long headrace tunnel and a surface Power House having a designed head of 300 m and an installed capacity of 180 MW.

Preliminary design of two tunnels, corresponding respectively to two alternative alignment of a gas pipeline, crossing East to West the British Columbia from Fort St Johns to Prince Rupert.2011: Yindajihuang Water Supply Project (China). Contract I: Geological conditions analysis and site assistance in the ambit of TBM assembly chamber design. Contract II: Working chamber detail design and site assistance to Main Line Tunnel TBM excavation (14 km)2007-2010: Ingula Pumped Storage Scheme (South Africa). On site geological and geotechnical assistance during excavation of the Main Underground Civil Works 2006-2007: Tunnel del Perthus (Oriental Pyrenees, France-Spain). Technical, geological and geotechnical assistance during the excavation with double shielded TBM (9 m diameter) of the two tunnel tubes along the high speed railway line Figueras-Perpignan.
