I chose Community Health Sciences field because I want to do my part in society. This is my way of giving back, to be of help for communities in need through the promotion of healthier lifestyles. Through my coursework and my internship, I have acquired the knowledge and skills needed for helping others, promoting healthy paths, and preventing negative life cycles to continue, specifically recognizing mental health issues, drug and alcohol addiction, many forms of abuse, and suicide ideology in order to help bring change and save lives. Throughout my coursework, jobs, and volunteer work, I've been known to have a way with making the connections necessary to understand difficult situations. I have been praised for being detailed, organized, and a strong minded individual in many cases during school and work. My future goals include to ultimately grow in the mental health field and expand the capacity to which I can better help people in need. En route to pursuing higher education to become the best advocate I can be for the communities I serve, my goals are to be able to work in an environment where I can be of service for people who need that help that can change their lives. I want a career that I can find joy in.
