Responsibilities include over-seeing Lost Foam Technicians and High Pressure Technicians to make sure all tasks are completed accurately, and that they have the tools needed to be successful. Also set-up training for technicians if it will help in their job duties(ex. Excel or Access training). Do the payroll of the lab employees, and schedule vacation & personal days to make sure that each shift is covered for all tasks. Order all supplies , and services needed for the Metallurgical Lab , and receive them when they are complete. Organize all projects, PPAP's , etc. to make sure that we are getting results accurately, efficiently and meeting or exceeding customer requirements. Attend daily meetings in both the Lost Foam Plant & the High Pressure Plant to update on any issues, Non- Conformances, status of projects, or concerns. Also the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) at Nemak.

Responsibilities included chemistry analysis of aluminum used in pouring of Blocks & Ladderframes. Viscosity ,solids & perm check of coating. Sand A.F.S, perm & sieve analysis. Verification of metal temperature used in process. Hardness testing of castings. Die lube check to determine ratio of lube.Checking of pentane used in beads to make foam for Lost Foam Blocks. Machining and breaking of mechanical properties which included tensiles, compression, and shear samples to meet customer requirements. Responsibilities also include over-seeing Lost Foam Technicians, and High Pressure Die Cast technicians to make sure that their tasks were getting completed, and that they had the tools necessary to be successful. Also ordered all needed supplies , and services for the Metallurgical lab, and received them when they were complete. Also a ISO/TS 16949 internal auditor for Nemak.

Moisture, AFS, and sieve analysis of sand used in the LFO process. Responsible for the hardness testing of castings to ensure they meet customer requirements. Machine & break tensiles, compression & shear samples for mechanical properties to ensure they meet customer requirements. Also perform die lube testing, temperature of alloy , x-ray analysis, and defect analysis.
