Before starting college, I had the opportunity to be a dental assistant for my childhood office. From there, I decided my true passion was to provide preventive oral healthcare as a Dental Hygienist. I began my undergraduate education at Northwest Missouri State University where I was a part of the track and field team for a year, then transferred to the University of Missouri-Kansas City's Dental Hygiene program. While in school, I obtained a job as a part-time server, where I was able to continue developing skills in communication, teamwork, and leadership, which all pertain to my role as a Dental Hygienist. Throughout my time in the Dental Hygiene program, I provided oral health care to a variety of populations at the UMKC School of Dentistry and through various outreach programs. I am excited to be able to provide exceptional patient-centered care beyond my time at the School of Dentistry and continue educating patients about their oral health.
