But they also build hardware (Palladium), IP (Denali), and SoCs for customers.I have 30 years experience as a hardware designer currently working on custom SoCs with embedded cpu(s) and other peripherals. I have worked on many chips from a diverse application space: Magneto Optical drive controller, satellite error correction, cell phone 2.5G and 3G controller, Hard Disk Drive Controller, Networked Attached Storage, and Media Gateways.Of course, the most interesting are the chips that contain embedded processors as I enjoy hardware and software aspects of my job. I code in verilog and vhdl, as well as C/C++, Systemverilog, SystemC, and know many scripting languages such as Perl, AWK, SED, and shell.Specialties: Extensive knowledge of ARM processors, AXI/AHB/APB buses, and peripherals.
