As Materials Management Consultant, I served as the expert on MRO Materials Management within twenty North American Primary Metals locations. Directed strategy and continuous improvements of stores management, stocking levels, Materials Management involvement of Reliability Excellence, and interfacing with Oracle systems. Lead a global, cross-business inititive called Excess Inventory Remediation aimed at systematic improvements of MRO inventory levels. Also served as a key contact between Procurement organization and Primary Products' Reliability Excellence initiative.

Through periodic job rotations, the Fast Track Management program is designed to give participants the experiance and knowledge to take on a high level leadership position within Alcoa Primary Products. After 3 or 4 rotations (approximately 2 years each), trainees will be qualified to assume a plant manager position at an Alcoa Aluminum Smelter.The Green Mill at Tennessee Operations (in Alcoa, Tennessee) is the first step in the process of creating and forming anodes out of coke and coal tar pitch. Upon leaving the Green Mill, the blocks are baked and fitted with holding rods before being sent to the aluminum smelting pots. Electrical current is passed from the carbon anodes to the cathode lining of each pot to initiate the chemical reaction producing aluminum from alumina.Green Mill area coordinator (shared with the current coordinator) holds supervision responsibility for production, labor relations, maintenance planning, and operational metrics for the Green Mill.

Conducted audit of Tapoco and Yadkin Projects adherance to Alcoa Business Systems lean manufacturing principles. Also helped identify actions to remedy gaps in performance and set multi-year strategy for organization.

Technology and product expert for Motion Control, Advanced Machine Control, Precisions Mechanical Systems, and Vision Systems. Conducted joint and individual sales calls. Provided pre-sales support (i.e. system selection), system commisioning, and post-sales technical troubleshooting. Also helped set office sales strategy for motion control lines. Primary responsibility to Chicago Region, but also provided support for offices in Cleveland, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Denver, and Dallas.
