I’m a passionate Software Engineer with a love for programming languages. So much so, that I spend time coding and learning new programming languages in my free time, for recreational purposes that is.My journey began at ETH Zurich, where I earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science, specializing in machine learning and pattern recognition. Professionally, I've evolved through various roles in the area of data science & analytics, from an IT Consultant at Insightful Corp. to an architect at TIBCO Software Inc. Currently, I'm an Executive Partner and Senior Software Engineer at Mirai Solutions, a boutique consultancy focusing on IT solutions for the re-/insurance sector. With 15+ years of experience building software solutions, my main expertise is in the area of high-performance & distributed computing and big data processing. I am eager to leverage my extensive experience and passion for technology to drive innovation and excellence in the ever-evolving field of software engineering and data science & analytics.In contrast to my technologically driven professional life and hobbies, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors with my family. Away from civilization, equipped with just the basics. It is this form of “grounding” with mother nature where I can best recharge my batteries.
