Hello. I'm a person (he/him) living on Wurundjeri Country and spending a bunch of time up on Taungurung land. I'm a writer with some stuff (poetry and creative non-fic) published here and there, and I'm a former magazine print and digital editor (was at Matters Journal for a couple of years). Now though - slightly odd pivot? - I'm the Co-Director of a lovely little wine label called Minimum Wines. I manage all of our content, branding and our enviro/social impact. I had my first, and let's be honest prob last, book come out in Jan. 2021. It's called 'With a Little Kelp from Our Friends' and it's a picture book and it's about seaweed you can probably tell from the title. It's also about algal allyship in the age of a climate catastrophe but it's mainly me geeking out about seaweed. It's published by Thames and Hudson and illustrated by Liz Rowland and it won Best Designed Children's Illustrated Non-Fiction Book at the 2022 Australian Book Design Awards. I reckon it's pretty good you should get a few copies and share it around. I'm also part of Lichen Kelp's Seaweed Appreciation Society, a crew of slippery algal people that like to douse in the intertidal. I've been on residency with Lichen and we've run a few talks and dinners together. That's all the energy I can give to LinkedIn. Really, it'd be more accurate to say that I'm just a confused something bumping into things, trying not to break them. For a list of some things I haven't broken, please read the first two paras.
