Well, where so I start? Passion for wine I guess. After working in the print industry for most of my life, I left my job and went back to college for 2 years full time. About this time Suz and I also had Buster. I studied Viticulture and Wine making in the Hunter Valley. The only English man on the course!! Loved it, learnt to grow grape, dig soil pits, make wine, and my favourite subject - tractor driving!!!! I worked for a winery - Calais Estate, and a cellar door - Moorebank, during this time before Suz, Buster and I moved to Hawke's Bay, where I worked in the cellar for Sacred Hill.Back to the UK, for family reasons, then I worked for Jeroboams, Laytons, Aspall Cyder, Vinopolis and finally Majestic. Some good experience, some not so. But I learnt a lot, everywhere I worked.I'm now working part time as I look after the kids as well as work, which means I get to cook my hardworking wife dinner and spend time at home with Buster and Bella.I am a member of The Champagne Academy and a private tasting group - made up of a great group of people who are happy to talk wine all night!! Like minded people I guess.Where do I finish? Even more passionate about wine, but getting to spend time with my wife and kids. Very happy.
