Implemented motion-capture layer util-ising NaturalPoint Optitrack camera system, and custom DAL utilising MySQL backingdatastore. Day-to-day management of the laboratory.Primarily developed in C#, low-level algorithms in C, graphics and audio utilised OpenGLand OpenAL respectively. Designed and assembled high-power serial-controlled large LEDresearch array, leading to conference presentation.

Led a team of engineers throughout the commercialisation of the Ph.D. research sys-tem described above. Brought source control, continuous integration, TDD and completedevelopment/release cycle workflows to project. Hosted two large technologydemonstration events, attended by investors from across the north of England. Managedrelocation to office space in the Springboard Innovation Space, a startup space managed bythe York Science Park. Commercialisation supported by a Yorkshire Enterprise Fellowship, and by Yorkshire Forward, a regional development agency. Won 2008 Research CouncilsUK business plan runner up prize.
