Reporting directly into the executive team, responsible for developing and delivering the Welsh Water change programme across the organisation of 3500 employees. This programme focused on delivery of £60m of annual cost savings, industry leading customer service, increased employee engagement and delivery of key regulatory performance levels.Worked with the executive team to consolidate multiple business plans into a single change strategy, cascading it from a long term 2050 vision down into well defined individual delivery programmes.Embedded simple visual reporting and strategy deployment to manage delivery of the programme and associated strategies.Designed and established a change programme office, including a change management framework and governance structures to manage delivery, as well as supporting an approach to Agile project delivery.

Responsible for the development and delivery of Welsh Water's Continuous Improvement strategy, taking the business from no history of Lean and continuous improvement to becoming a best practice host site with "Onsite Insights" within 3 years. This involved development of Lean Business Excellence Model from scratch which focused on cultural change, development of a bespoke Lean toolkit and accredited training programme, and Lean systems of work embedded into the day-to-day organisation such as A3 problem solving, visual management and daily huddles. This has seen over 1200 employees undertake the accredited training programme in the past 3 years, and has been supported by over 100 senior and middle managers who have undertaken our bespoke Lean Leadership programme. Alongside creation of the content, I developed and managed a lean deployment team of 24 Green Belts and Black Belts, coached and supported senior managers in adopting Lean into their business areas, and worked with the executive team to continually develop our Lean strategy.This approach was multifunctional, driving performance improvements across our Retail and Customer Services teams, back office transaction functions and front-line maintenance and reliability improvements.

Reporting directly to the operations manager, and forming part of the senior leadership team, I was responsible for the development and deployment of a Lean Business model across the local organisation of 200 people. This programme focused on engagement with the workforce and resulted in the development of both a Kaizen and front line A3 problem solving programme. In this role I also sat on a team responsible for global deployment of Lean across the entire $6bn company, reporting directly to the manufacturing vice president. The local approach I developed was recognised as best practice globally across the company.During this role I was also responsible for delivering individual projects as a Six Sigma Black Belt, along with developing and delivering training for new Black Belts and Lean Leaders.

Responsible for the design and deployment of an OEE reporting and management system, including the management process to drive improvement. Delivered several improvement projects to drive OEE improvement including mechanical design, changeover reduction and process design. During this role I also designed and led a 5s programme in the area and later formed part of the team which replicated the approach across the whole site (circa 600 people).
