I executed credit hedging including the first ever credit default swaps duration matched with supply chain finance assets as well as the first 100% indemnity trade credit insurance policy against same. These methods helped lead to the birth of modern day supply chain finance as an asset class for fund managers. Product was very unique in the market as we applied capital market tools to compete against entrenched commercial banks. As a result of this efficient model, a very small team was able to successfully compete with banking teams multiples of our size. We achieved rapid growth during the financial crisis and the performance record of our lending before, during and after the crisis included zero arrears and zero defaults with funded assets approaching $1Bn. -
