BioPhorum is a UK based organisation that had successfully developed a collaboration platform for the Biopharmaceutical industry. Having seen an opportunity to build upon the success enjoyed within the Biopharmaceutical market, I joined the organisation to define a plan and drive entry into the Medical Devices industry.

Wellell UK limited (formerly APEX Medical Ltd.) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wellell Corp headquartered in Taiwan. The organisation is a manufacturer of devices intended for treatment of sleep apnoea and also avoidance of formation of pressure ulcers in sedentary or otherwise vulnerable patients. The UK business distributes these within the UK and Ireland as well as a range of specialist beds in the UK and internationally. After a difficult few years, the role was set to implement strategic change.

Part of the Eakin Healthcare Group, Pelican Healthcare is a manufacturer of ostomy products sold under the Pelican brand in the UK and Internationally as Eakin products. Respond Healthcare is a Dispensing Appliance Contractor that provides ostomy and other drug tariff part IX devices to patients in the UK. Eakin Surgical is a manufacturer of single use surgical devices that it also distributes internationally.Full P&L responsibility for all UK based ostomy businesses and operations as well as the internationally trading surgical business.

Responsible for all sales, marketing and business development activities for a leading advanced wound care manufacturer.

Board level responsibility for all aspects of Renishaw Ireland’s growing medical device activities during a period of rapid expansion in all elements of the company’s business.

Full P&L responsibility for the Neurological Products Division. Responsible for R&D, sales & marketing, quality and all financial and operational aspects for the Division, High focus on aligning four European-based operational locations and their intergration within the Renishaw group to ensure that all activities delivered against strategic objectives.

Responsible for the creation of a business strategy that would lower the ongoing influence of cyclical industrial trends on the company's overall performance. In addition I was given the responsibility for the commercial management and exploitation of hundreds of patent cases across a variety of industries.
