As co-founder of Azimuth Power, I built up the first commercial-scale solar PV company in Kenya to an operational group of companies employing 15 staff across UK, Kenya and Ghana. I developed project teams and established business processes, including responsibility for group finances. I also led the team delivering an innovative remote monitoring and billing technology. At Garrad Hassan, I led the establishment of the Tidal department, recruiting a team of eight engineers. We built a market-leading consultancy business around this nascent technology and developed engineering software tools, taking several products to market.DNV-GL (formerly Garrad Hassan) is one of the world's largest renewable energy consultancy. It offers independent technical and engineering services, products, and training courses to the onshore and offshore wind, wave, tidal and solar sectors.

Engaged to develop the concept design for a novel axial-flow tidal stream turbine for Swanturbines - a tech spinout from Swansea University. My work was to establish a detailed technical specification and build the underlying techno-economic model.

Atkins, formerly WS Atkins, is one of the world’s most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies.During my time with the energy team, I managed a portfolio of safety and process plant improvement projects across the fleet of the UK Advanced Gas Cooled Nuclear Reactors. I undertook design verifications upon fuel handling machines and produce safety case reports as part of a multi-disciplined technical team.

British Steel plc was a major British steel producer. It is now owned by Tata Steel.As a sponsored student & graduate engineer I gaining insightful knowledge of how a major manufacturing business worked, whilst also getting hand-on engineering experience working on a variety of different 24/7 continuous production lines.
