My love for sport began when I was about 4 years old and my family and I were visiting my Cousin’s house. They were watching sports highlights and I looked up and saw highlights of a hockey game that just finished. Watching those highlights got me excited for what sports can offer and has made me the person I am today and as a result, led me to the Humber College Sport Management Program as an aspiring Sport Management Student who hopes to work for a professional sports team in the future.I am a good problem solver, a quick learner, always have a willingness to learn more from others and can be someone you can rely on to get a task done. I always put my best effort forward in all I do to gain the trust of everyone around me. I also believe in being there for others who need help by helping them through any situation to the very end.I have been involved with sport in a variety of ways. From participating as a player, to also getting the feel of the coaching experience. There was one time that I had to decide how to control a few players who were not following instructions and had to do it without the help of the Head Coach. I was able to come up with an easy solution that resulted in everyone completing the task correctly. I have also participated in a variety of different sports in my life such as Hockey, Football, Baseball and Soccer, just to name a few. So my knowledge of sports is at a broad scale.I have experience in Customer Service and Excel from previous jobs and school experience. From Humber, I have learned additional skills in Marketing and Event Planning.I have received recognition for my studies from last year with a spot on the Dean’s List for Semester Two. Another accomplishment that I am most proud of is getting the opportunity to experience what it’s like to be a coach on a sports team. That opportunity allowed me to improve my communication skills, as that is one skill that will be useful in the future, as well as other useful skills such as creativity, and responsibility.
