As a project assistant I was involved in the organisation of numerous events run in conjunction with the Glasgow City Council and various foundations. I have interpreted on many occasions in Scotland and in Russia. In May 2012 I accompanied a group of Scottish musicians to the prestigious international music festival in Moscow organised by the Spivakov foundation. Being in charge of transport, visas, finances and recreational activities for visiting parties I was able to demonstrate my customer orientated nature, organisational, time-management and language skills. In October 2012 we successfully organised a charity fundraiser for a St. Petersburg artist. The entire event was organised within 10 days and managed to attract the senior consul from the Russian consulate in Edinburgh and the St. Petersburg comedy theater which was coincidentally visiting Scotland at the time. Working here allowed me to demonstrate my ability to make quick decisions and perform under pressure to meet deadlines.

After being promoted to manager in March 2014, I was in charge of the day-to-day running of this well established restaurant in Glasgow’s Merchant city. My duties included finding the most competitive prices for our stock, weekly banking and sales reports. I was also responsible for managing a team of eight, ensuring excellent customer service and dealing with any possible issues that may arise on a daily basis. Working here enabled me to demonstrate my ability to take on responsibility while improving my customer service and communication skills by maintaining relationships with suppliers and Glasgow’s vibrant Russian speaking community.
