I love stylized, playful, and colorful illustrations and movies. And I've built an indie animation studio around that:Pirogy Studios!While studying animation, I teamed up with four talented friends. Together, we embarked on an epic venture towards artistic independence and creating high-budget animations.Currently, we're quite artistically dependent. I've realized that for us grads without tens of millions lying around, there's almost no workaround. Despite that, we're lucky to only work on juicy, nice-looking service projects, usually catering to a child audience. Plus, we're crafting our own movies and brands, like Pierre or Otis, and a Poly Universal Pack in collab with Polyperfect!With limited business background, I jumped into the position of startup studio CEO with lots of passion, but also armed with a bundle of naive ideas. Reality is checking me pretty hard now. But hey, it's not as deadly as I imagined. I've managed to stabilize cash flow, secure enough projects in advance, hire the core team, and now I can start focusing on growing the studio and improving our pipeline.It feels like the tutorial level is almost done. Recently, we got some investments, and we've got several productions planned starting from January, which will multiply our turnover several times over. It's going to be a challenge, but we've got to push through. Because if we ever want to land a 100-million blockbuster deal one day, we've got to put in the work. Heh, those naive ideas, right? But are they, though?
