Matej Zachar is a seasoned security executive with a proven track record of leading teams of security professionals and achieving and maintaining compliance and certifications with ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulations and standards. He utilizes risk management to ensure meaningful decisions and proportional controls. Matej has built numerous security programs and managed the security of over 400 products and cloud services.Matej currently serves as the CISO & CIO at Kontent.ai, where he owns the IT and security strategies and programs, leads both IT and Security Team, and manages risks. He is also the chair of the Security Steering, a member of the Responsible AI Committee, Privacy Team, and Corporate Compliance Committee. One of Matej's achievements was leading his team as a new CISO through a successful SOC 2 audit, ISO 27001 and 27017 certifications in just six months. Matej holds a CISO Executive Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master's Degree in IT Security from Masaryk University. He also holds several licenses and certifications, including CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, OpenFAIR, SSCP, CCSK and ISO/IEC 27001 Senior Lead Implementer. He is an Executive MBA candidate at Trinity College Dublin.
