About Mateo Bervejillo
I am an Attorney but I worked in Outsourcing for most of my career.I started leading teams in 2009, at Tata Consultancy Services, where I also learned about processes, documentation, quality, and most of what I know about outsourcing as an industry. I led a P2P team of 60 people for approx 4 years, including Procurement, Legal and Accounts Payable.In 2013, I joined Altisource, a US Company with a Captive Center in Uruguay. I led teams of 100+ people, in Uruguay, but also in the US and India. We managed a 10,000+ vendor network in the US. I learned about P&L management, and how to drive aggressive cost reduction objectives while improving vendor performance across the board.In 2020, I founded a startup and failed, joined a Software Company as an Ops VP and quickly transitioned into Sales. I led growth at different companies, until I started working in Xseed, where I led a focus shift towards the US Market and staff augmentation services. I became a partner, and later the CEO of the company, after growing from 5 devs to 50 in a period of 2 years.I am a results oriented leader. An Ops guy who didn't really like sales, but ended up becoming a revenue growth leader by accident.I care deeply about people. Their lives, their careers, their growth. My employees, my colleagues, my clients. These are all relationships, and every single one of them matters to me.I try to keep things simple, real, and honest. I like to let results speak for themselves. When I promise something, my name is at stake. I will not rest until I deliver.I am a proud husband and father of two.I play drums and I like to think I am pretty decent at it. I sometimes play Football (the real one) and I am proudest when I kick the ball farther away from our goal. I do bodyboard, and enjoy being out there in the ocean.
