&Access Retail in Washington, D.C. is 20-person firm that serves community stakeholders and businesses by creating data-driven, design-centric real estate solutions for historically excluded entrepreneurs and under-invested neighborhoods. The organization aims to create essential to by increasing access to essential goods, services, and resources within retail business ecosystems.• Create a report outlining the new retail data framework and how it brings equity to business ecosystems small business retail• Conduct a literature review of business ecosystem structure, business innovation metrics, and website analytics• Conduct stakeholder interviews with various business-to-business support organizations to critique retail metricsWhile working at &Access Retail, I have developed a data collection framework for business innovation ecosystems for small-scale brick and mortar retail businesses. In doing this, I did extensive literature reviews of content released by innovation, retail, business, and economics organizations. I also interviewed different organizations within business ecosystems to determine what information is important to them when it comes to analyzing different business ecosystems. This work helped to create a whitepaper and survey to start a new initiative of a mixed methods accessibility gap analyses for the company. The retail gap analysis contains a combination of qualitative and quantiative metrics, which will assist &Access Retail in helping other organizations in identify potential barriers to small-scale retail development, starting the process of bringing equity to small-scale retail ecosystems.

The firm does economic modeling and forecasting, economic development planning, market and financial feasibility studies, and fiscal and impact analysis assessments.• Identified similar properties utilizing Google Earth and property databases to conduct 200+ rent reasonableness comparisons for a housing segregation study• Imported, explored, and cleaned extensive datasets, perform dataset queries, formulated and designed data tables (ex. pivot)• Created news website datasets for a labor feasibility study, identified and created data tables for commercial space for lease• Created a school enrollment forecast based off housing and real estate statistics and fiscal impact and enrollment trends• Collected, summarized, and formatted domestic and international case studies for city and regional comprehensive plansDuring my time on Urbanomics, I worked on several different projects, compiled in Excel to give feedback geographic feedback on city performance. I also created new datasets from news and economic development websites and identified and created data tables showing prices and potential changes in commercial space. This information was utilized to inform several labor feasibility studies for organizations across New York. Generally, my role involved importing, exploring, and cleaning extensive datasets in Excel. After cleaning them, I would perform dataset queries, formulate and design graphs and data tables including pivot tables. The City of Rochester serves 210,000+ residents and oversees a budget of $675 million, which is distributed to fund various programs to improve public safety, international development, social services, emergency management, and community outreach. The 9 members of City Council from 4 districts make key decisions regarding budgets, legislation, and equitable resource distribution.• Reviewed, wrote, and edited legislation, created 7 proclamations and 2 letters of support for various events and initiatives• Created bilingual promotional materials for the Business Improvement District Forum and City Council Housing Sessions• Created a 50-page report focusing on positive and negative business improvement districts impacts across the PESTEL system• Transcribed and compiled notes from 4 Housing Quality Task Force meetings into a final report for Councilmember Kim SmithAs the first intern for Rochester City Council, I spent time review and editing legislation. I would work with my department to create seven proclamations and two letters of support for various events and initiatives. I would also draft flyers and create promotional materials in both English and Spanish for the Business Improvement District Forum and City Council Housing Sessions. I also created a 50-page report that focused on the positive and negative impacts of business improvement districts across the PESTEL system, which informed City Council and City Council later utilized to help inform 210,000 residents of Rochester. I also participated in housing quality sessions where I transcribed and compiled notes from four Housing Quality Task Force meetings into a final report for Councilmember Kim Smith. The results from the survey were then utilized to inform housing policies for the 210,000 residents of Rochester.

The program consists of a bootcamp to teach consulting strategies from top firms followed by placement on a consulting project with professional clients. I took on two projects. During the first project, I collaborated with a high-profile municipality to plan the "City of the Future" for 2071. My team created a visioning workshop for some of the top stakeholders of this specific municipality. I attended a workshop where the clients were looking for one city improvement idea to develop a business model for. I presented the idea of generative design and helped them develop a business model. We also gave them future trends research. The clients were highly pleased with our work. For the second project, I led my team on a project with a high-profile technology consulting firm that wanted to determine the ROI for six smart city solutions. In my role as team leader, I distributed work, designed presentations and reports, proofread presentations and reports, and presented to the client. The clients again were very pleased with our work.

As a political intern, I help to oversee all aspects of the campaign including ground work, finances, promotion, and technology. I performed research into Malik's public image, as well as called hundreds of voters in the area to promote Malik. Malik won the mayoral campaign.

I interned at the Hall of Justice as part of a class called "Urban Crime & Justice." During my internship at the Hall of Justice, I observed criminal justices cases in all of the different courts that the City of Rochester had. I worked with the Administrative Judge of 7th Judicial District, Craig Doran, on reflections of how the environment was for the court cases I observed.

I led about 20 players at a time through soccer drills while maintaining safety standards. I taught the game of soccer including tactical movements, agility training, speed training, strength training, positioning, technical training, soccer IQ (teaching them how to effectively think and approach soccer situations with systems thinking and agile thinking).
