Manager of Enhancements and ModernizationsWe created a predatory project group that went after our competitor's system upgrades' as well as upgrading Siemens Dematic‘s systems. By pursuing our competitor's system expansions and upgrades, we developed new customers for Siemens Dematic along with leaning about our competitions’ equipment. Plus as a marketing/sales tool ...we could say we understood most of our competitors systems from the ground up. This method of operation built long term relationships with customers, gained a wide exposure to many types of assembly and material handling equipment. I was a part of a select team of individuals from Siemens North America who developed a project management process from initial request for quote to... customer sign off. A PROJECT BEGINS AS SOON AS A COMPANY DECEIDES TO PROVIDE A PROPOSAL. Active with customers during the sales process, the project definition, implementation and ultimately customer satisfaction and sign off, all benefited from the engineering groups involvement up-front.Began the position with approximately (8) million dollars in new business, when I left we were at (23) million dollars with half as many full time resources.
