Mateus da Costa, Former Director for Exploration, Reseach Innovation and Promotions (since September 2023), at the National Petroleum and Mineral Authority of Timor Leste. Prior to the additional role to look after as well the research department , Mr. Da Costa was as the Director for Explorations and Promotion,. Mr. Da Costa joined the ANPM since April 2010 as the Director for Acreage Release and Promotion, later in 2011 was trusted to also look after the exploration until todate. In 2013 was appointed as the Member of Board of Director for ANPM for the period of two years (2013 and 2014). In January 2019, has been reappointed for the second time as Board Members at the ANPM for a period of two years. Throughout his professional career, has been an active International speaker in various Oil and Gas International conferences worldwide. He has strong professional experiences an executive management at the upstream petroleum industries. Mr. Da Costa recently completed his Master of Law - LLM in the Internationaion Commercial Laws at the University of Salford, Manchester, United Kingdom, and before that Mr. Da Costa also did his studies such as Master Studies focused in Petroleum Geosciences- Engineering from University of Stavanger (UiS) and Bachelor degree in Geosciences Exploration from Macquarie University - Sydney - Australia.Prior to studing at Macquare University, Mr. Da Costa did his Diploma and Foundation studies at the International College for Diploma and Foundation studies at La Trobe University, Bundoora, Melbourne, Victoria, and English Course : English for Further Studies and Academic Purposes, at the Language Training Center of the University of New England, Armidale, NWS, Australia.
