Roles and Responsibilities as a MEP EngineerThe following details of procedure are executing to hand over the project in time.1. Validation of Drawing and Project Documents▪ Evaluate the IFC drawing with DCD, DEWA, NFPA and DM standards.▪ Correlate the project specification and IFC are matching with each other.▪ RFI would rise for consultant and client review and suggestion.▪ Compare the BOQ quantities with IFC drawing and Project specification.▪ Material submittal prepared as per project specification.▪ Preparation of Shop drawings.▪ Preparation of Engineering Calculation.2. Arrangement of Material, Preparation of Plan and Execution▪ Material quantity takes off and material requisition preparation.▪ Execution plans are preparing on weekly basis.▪ Manpower calculation is done on hourly basis.▪ The plans are followed daily basis and noted in the drawing and progress sheet.▪ Executed work and delivered materials are recorded through IR’s and MIR’s.3. Preparation of Monthly Bill and Variation▪ Monthly bill prepares by the executed work progress and approved IR and MIR.4. Design of Machine, Elements and Piping▪ Pumps are selected as per the process. (Centrifugal, Submersible, Diaphragms, Gear, Lobe, Screw and Piston Pumps)▪ Electrical Sensors, Motors, Panels & VFD are selected as per the process.▪ Selection of boiler, reservoir, pressure vessel and Tanks.▪ Selection of conveyors, mixers and agitators.▪ Compressor, Dryer and chiller selection as per the process.▪ Selection of filters and separators (Decanter, Disc Level& High-Speed Separator).▪ Design of piping & Valve system (PRV, NRV, gate, globe, check & needle valve)2. Selection of Material & Piping Process▪ The piping & materials selected as per process. (MS, MI, GI, SS, SS316 & SS306)▪ Piping are connected through mostly by welding, threading & coupling.▪ Daily plan and progress records in the progress sheet.3. Monthly Payment Collection from Client▪ Payment request prepare as per plant erection process.4. Plant Commissioning and Handing Over▪ After equipment and piping installation, the process will be started.▪ Sensors output registered in the sheet for reference.▪ Once the process gets it done all the data handed over to the client.▪ O&M manual, warranty certificate will be handed over to the client.5.
