Professor at Institut de Biologie Paris Seine, Sorbonne Université (UMR7622: Laboratoire de Biologie du Développement) since September 2021.Team leader directing research in the development of microphysiological systems and organ-on-chip devices.Aiming at recapitulating with high fidelity a liver sinusoid to study the complex interactions between the endothelium and the neighboring cells in a microenvironment constantly changing mechanically. For this, our interdisciplinary team works hard to be a solid and active bridge between clinicians and fundamental biologists; using tools from biomaterials, microtechnology and biophysics. By building strong collaborations, we hope our research leads to actual solutions that may leave the lab one day. I lecture in the field of Developmental Biology and Biophysics.Between 2015-2021: co-founder and acting director of the LaNSBioDyT National Laboratory (now led by Dr. Tatiana Fiordelisio), while being a tenured full-time biophysics professor at Facultad de Ciencias, UNAM (México).
