Matheus Chaves is a Mechanical Engineer graduated from Salvador University (UNIFACS) with Masters of Business Administration degree at Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) in Project Management.He works at Ford Motor Company as a Product Engineer and he is one of the engineers responsible for Climate Control Systems. On a daily basis, he generates, develops and implements ideas for Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) to meet vehicle requirements while optimizing for cost, weight, manufacturability, efficiency and serviceability for current and future Ford programs.Matheus is highly proficient in many automotive industry development tools such as WERS, Teamcenter, CATIA V5 and Solid Works. He also has additional automotive engineering skills: PPAP process, Six Sigma, DMAIC, TVM, cost reduction, project management, program launch and product design & release. Before working with the Ford Motor Company, Matheus Chaves interned at QC Solar (Suzhou, Jiangsu, China) and at Odebrecht Infraestrutura for the Transnordestina Railway Construction (Brazil). Aside his native tongue of Brazilian Portuguese, he is proficient in English, German, Chinese (Mandarin) and Spanish.
