Full-time Researcher at GIMSCOP (Group of Intensification, Modeling, Simulation, Control and Optimization of Processes) - UFRGS• Modeling, simulation, and optimization of hydrogen production;• Carbon dioxide capture processes modeling;• Studies on the feasibility of LOHCs (Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers): Technical and economic analysis of solutions for hydrogen storage and transportation;• Process simulation and modeling: Use of Honeywell Unisim Design and Python as main tools.

• Monitor and Develop Projects: Contribute to projects in diverse areas such as pulp and paper, oil and gas, and utilities (water, effluent, and steam). • Develop and Update PFDs and P&IDs: Utilize computer-aided design software to create and revise Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).• Elaborate Process Data Sheet Documents: Prepare process data sheet documents for instruments and equipment. Including essential information such as pressure, flow, composition of the stream, operational points, operational limits points, and any additional process data pertinent to the project (e.g., corrosion, inflammability).• Safety and Operational Oversight: Develop and implement safety protocols by cause-and-effect matrices to analyze the relationship between critical process parameters and their effects, identifying potential hazards, risks, and operational considerations within projects. Contribute to Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), analyzing process designs to identify potential hazards and risks, and collaborate with project teams to develop mitigation strategies and ensure project safety and operational efficiency according to international and national parameters. • Elaborate Calculus Report: Prepare reports detailing any calculated information such as pressure drop for pipes, pump requirements like Net Positive Suction Head (NPSH) required, and necessary head calculations. • Elaborate General Reports of Viability: Compile and present general reports of viability documenting the feasibility and viability of process projects or the results of field research. • Interface with Other Disciplines: Collaborate with mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and safety engineering disciplines to ensure accurate exchange of information and coordination of project requirements. This involves providing and receiving necessary additional information to ensure project integration.

• Chemical Process production: Sodium chlorate, Chlorine dioxide, Chlorine, Hydrochloric acid, Sodium hypochlorite, Caustic soda, cold water and unload/storage of caustic soda, sulphuric acid and hydrogen peroxide trucks.• Operation routine: Perform visual and sensory inspections of equipment such as pumps, compressors, chillers, instruments, valves and other machinery to identify signs of wear, damage, leakage, or malfunction. Report any observed issues promptly to the responsible personnel for further evaluation and repair. Additionally, take immediate action if any unsafe conditions are detected.• Daily monitoring of process: through analytical analysis testing chemical concentrations, pH levels, and other parameters to ensure quality standards are met. • Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations by monitoring and controlling chemical emissions, wastewater discharges, and chemical spills. Implement measures to minimize environmental impact and ensure sustainable operations. Maintain direct interface with the effluent treatment area and promptly report any environmental issues.•Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Participate in and conduct daily dialogue of performance (DDD), tracking operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the last hours of production, and discussing important daily activities. Take corrective actions to resolve problems and prevent recurrence in accordance with the company's lean manufacturing methodology. • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. This includes proper handling and storage of chemicals, use of personal protective equipment, adherence to lockout/tagout procedures, and release of maintenance activities in the area in compliance with the company's safety rules and standards. Participate in HAZOP sessions for new processes to identify potential hazards and ensure process safety.

Study focused on the treatment of brine based on the current analysis of process, focusing on improvements such as the reduction of waste and generated effluents.Proposal for improvements to manage KPI's;Perfomanced an economic and environmental study of the exchange of salt quality.
