Matheus has over 17 years of extensive knowledge in the various areas of mineral research, developing the disciplines of Geology and Mineral Resources in major mining companies as well as in Junior companies. His experience covers the entire life cycle of the project, from initial to advanced exploration, engineering studies of projects, including the scope level, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, until the start of the mine and operations. As an exploration geologist, he participated in the discovery of the niobium deposits of Morro do Padre, where he developed his master's project, the deposit of fresh rock from Boa Vista and the deposit of phosphate Coqueiros. Later, as a geology manager, he planned and led Anglo American exploration projects in Brazil, the result of which increased the Coqueiros phosphate mineral resources from 55 Mt to 440 Mt and unlocked more than 24 Mt of fresh rock resources at niobium mineral resources at Boa Vista mine, which was responsible for the expansion BVFR Project, currently in production. Still at anglo American, he was the Lead Competent Person of Phosphate and Niobium Mineral Resources (JORC, 2012) and managed the governance of the of resources and reserves reporting at the Nickel, Niobium and Phosphate Business Unit in Brazil. He led the disciplines of Geology and Mineral Resources in the due dillingece during the divestment process of phosphate and niobium operations. Currently manages the geology department at Horizonte minerals, including the mineral rights governance and monitoring, GIS and database management and coordination of the geology discipline at Horizonte Minerals' Araguaia Níquel Project in southern Pará, responding as the expert on behalf of the Mineral Resources QP, developed the project's Geology department. Matheus is a chartered professional member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy in the discipline of Geology.
