My position at Beacon Roofing Supply/Posi-Slope Enterprises Inc. enabled me to strengthen my previous estimating, coordination, management skills in a new and exciting environment. Providing our clients with amazing service, innovative designs and efficient estimates. Working together with the client from start to finish.

At Everest my responsibilities included connecting and coordinating with general contractors, property owners and managers, working with them and their budgets to meet their project needs. Providing thorough and accurate estimates, going through drawings and specification packages to ensure the estimated product is calculated properly. Once approval was received we would move onto designing our own shop drawings with AutoCad to coincide with the assemblies needs. Then proceeding to work with company management to approve the drawings, and finally delivering and presenting the materials for the approved assembly to the client.

Working on various high-rise condo projects through-out the Greater Toronto Area. Performing heavy labour, communicating with management to make sure the project was running efficiently and tasks were being performed properly and safely by myself and the crew. Also gained additional experience reading and understanding architectural/landscaping drawings and specifications.

This opportunity allowed me a chance to work on one of the sites for the Regent Park Revitalization Plan, the project I was assigned to was being done by The Daniels Corporation. I spent a summer as a gate supervisor and traffic control personnel. Which allowed me to experience a small portion of what it takes to manage and coordinate a large scale high-rise condominium project. My job was to deal with all materials being delivered to the site, everything from concrete, steel and other materials having to do with the building process. I had to coordinate each delivery properly to ensure the job ran smoothly/efficiently, and was successful at doing so. Also to ensure a safe and clean entrance way to the site.

Gained extensive experience and knowledge of landscaping and gardening. Working with various types of plants/tree's, sod work, cutting and treating grass, etc. Always making sure the properties were looking well groomed and that every project was completed to the full extent, client satisfaction is always a must.

During my employment at Cupido Construction which is a medium scaled construction management company that focuses on the industrial/commercial sector I had the chance to begin my career in the construction industry and vastly expand my knowledge of various trades and skills. By being surrounded by different trades/subtrades and having to work hand and hand with them. I learned more then just basic knowledge/skills in carpentry, dry-walling, framing, taping, painting, etc. I learned what it takes to get a project completed properly from start to finish and in an efficient manner, how to communicate correctly with various management of trades/subtrades, etc.
