In my role I strive to ensure strong safety systems and processes are implemented for the off-shore business to operate in a safe manner. I encourage our employees and contractors to look after each other and to have the courage to intervene when they feel something is not right. I travel off-shore on a weekly basis, conducting Toolbox Talks, completing Infield Reviews and conducting JSA and Permit Audits. I strive to provide timely resolution to all Health and Safety issues that are bought to my attention.

As the Offshore Logistics Coordinator, I was also fulfilling the role of Warehouse Supervisor and Yard Manager. The key duties in these roles were based around providing a prompt and reliable service to the off-shore UGL-K workforce, which included the Painting/Blasting crews, the Rigger/Scaffolders and the Mechanical crews. I was also responsible for Management of Container/Basket fleet registers, Manifesting of outgoing materials and equipment, liaising with UGL-K and ESSO Supervisors regarding vessel schedules and movements and the arrangement of goods to be air freighted as required.

I was employed by UGL-Kaefer at Exxon Mobil’s Barry Beach Marine Terminal (BBMT). During this time I was employed in three different positions being Transport Supervisor, Warehouse Services Officer and Drilling Logistics and Materials Coordinator. My duties in these roles included: • The receipt and despatch of goods for operations onshore and offshore• Participation in the physical inventories of warehouse stock• The input of data into the IPES (SAP) system• Preparation of drilling equipment for transportation off-shore• Responsibility for the material load-outs requested by offshore drilling personnel• Identifying material and drill tools and ensuring timely transportation as per drilling program requirements.• Meeting control requirements in regards to records keeping of material movements.• Regular use of SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel• Packing containers/baskets for shipment offshore• Management of Transport Yard in compliance with the Traffic Management Plan
