I actively participated in the IFO ( Incident Free Operations) meetings and was a member of the IFO committee that helped drive the safety culture on the project.I was also responsible for driving efficiencies and managing cost targets.I enjoy building lasting relationships with our clients and business partners and also watching my fellow employees grow and reach their goals.

In this position I manage a team of Supply Base Operators that Discharge and Load barges and vessels that bring cargo and supplies to the Gorgon Project, I am involved in the planning of these vessels and barges and their timely turnaround.We handle all manner of freight including construction equipment, vehicles, food, critical lifts, concrete foundations etc, it is my duty to ensure a safe damage free discharge of all cargo.There are many challenges not only working on a greenfield site but due to Barrow Island being an A Class nature reserve there are many constraints placed on us to ensure that all fauna and flora are not harmed, this restricts many operations that we perform, the challenge is to maintain productivity without compromising safety or the environment.As you can appreciate there are many deadlines that are to be met, to do this good planning and use of all labour and equipment must be maintained at all times.In this position I have been utilised in many varied roles, I have been responsible for supervising and managing the following departments on Barrow Island for Toll Energy:Warehouse, Laydown and Cranes and Rigging. -

It was a greenfield site at the time I started , this position required the management of construction, commissioning, transport and logistics, recruitment, and developing site specific safety procedures and operating procedures that are required to build and commission a new facility in the Pilbara.Utah Point began loading in September 2010 and it was my responsibility to build a team of competent individuals to manage the site and to also operate the in load and out load systems.Utah Point is a multiple product facility, this posed it own challenges in relation to ensuring clients products were stockpiled according to yard plan and to also eliminate cross contamination of products ie Iron Ore, Manganese and Chromite.Inload to the facility was by road train and we received upwards of 150 per day as the facility became operational.I was charged with managing contracts and liaising with clients, Port Authority management, shipping agents, POAGS management, Unions and all other relevant authorities and departments.
