As an intern within the Study Skills service of the University, I was tasked to assist the team in understanding the academic challenges faced by students in my subject area/faculty. Evaluate the Study Support Service from the perspective of students in your subject area/faculty. Then inform the development of subject-specific classes that the service could provide.The project highlighted a gap in undergraduate to postgraduate transition and the support needs of the students. After conducting primary and secondary research, I tailored a 'PostPrep' scheme that suits the requirements of RGU postgraduate students making this transition. The project is to be piloted in January 2016.

Optimus is an independent engineering consultancy and project delivery company serving the upstream and downstream energy business. Undertook a two month placement within the Projects department; being an active member in live and tender jobs, responsible for resource tracking of various departments and part of the team conducting 4 Quality Management System Internal Audits.Tasked with producing a Lessons Learnt handbook in the form of a Project Execution Plan to be utilised by Optimus in the future to ensure that all aspects of a project are considered during initiation/planning phases.

Worked in various departments aiding customers with queries, processing complaints, general sales, promotional changes and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsible for ordering of stock, waste management, delegation of roles of small team and processing delivery documentation. Assigned an ambassador role in promoting new initiatives that the company wished to raise awareness of in store.
