I am a Managing Director in KPMG’s Portland Business Tax Services practice as part of the Accounting Methods & Credits Services group, with more than 14 years of experience in tax planning, consulting and compliance for public and privately held companies throughout the US. I have focused primarily on tax accounting methods and credit services for all industries and have been involved in all stages of these projects, from identification and implementation to IRS audit defense. I have advised on federal tax consulting and tax due diligence projects related to income and expense recognition; capitalization; cost recovery; inventory; meals and entertainment expenses; and IRC Sections 199 and 250. My experience also includes preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns, as well as providing income tax provision preparation and review assistance under ASC 740 for large private and public corporations. I have also assisted clients with IRS examination matters, often working directly with the Service on behalf of the client. I have successfully completed a rotation with KPMG’s Washington National Tax group, handling a wide range of complex tax matters as a member of the Income Tax and Accounting group. I have also served as a national instructor with KPMG and presenter at multiple TEI and other local CPE events, and have written for a variety of internal and external publications.
