Master Thesis (Grade: 9/10): Resetting Velocity Feedback - Reset Control for Improved Transient Damping- Developed a novel reset-based bandpass filter for active vibration control of lightly-damped flexible structures for improved transient damping and tracking performance. This new control technique provides more than two-fold reduction in settling times compared to it's linear counterparts, and provides better overshoot, faster rise-time characteristics compared to both linear and hybrid (HIGS) bandpass filters, while having lower control effort- The control design is based on an energy-based mechanistic analysis and frequency-domain techniques, providing intuition and ease of integration into industrial practice.
