- Budgeting, planning and installing of departmental projects- Oversee the launch of new services to the Sky and Cable platforms- Sourcing, Hiring, training and motivating the Transmission team to create a successful and efficient department.- Management and support of MHEG5 App offering obfuscation to our terrestrial service- Plan, co-ordinate and book delivery of large scale Live Pay per View events for successful broadcast on Sky, Virgin, TalkTalk, BFBS, Web and other platforms- Offer support for Channel 5 production by utilising my facility for live capture, file delivery and VOD asset creation all with in a fast turnaround time- Solely responsible for 24 hour phone support for the complete facility and second point of escalation in an incident notification process- Overseeing the IT infrastructure within Portland having hired for, and line manage the IT support position.- Ensuring SLA agreements are renewed and in place securing continued support of the playout facility- Creation and maintenance of Profiles within ProMedia Carbon to successfully create varying codecs and wrapper’s suitable for post-production, content distribution, broadcast and archive- Contractor liaison point arranging call outs, access for site visits and management etc- Ultimately responsible for ensuring the successful playout of all services ensuring regulatory standards are met
