I transported critical patients to CT, OR, ICU, CCU, and PICU. I maintained equipment setup supplies for Vapotherm High Flow, Drager, LTV-1200 transport, BiPAP Vision, BiPAP V60, CPAP Respironics, Trauma Room Cart, Difficult Airway Cart, Isolette, Broselow Cart, and Video Laryngoscopes in each area of this 53-bed ED. I performed Arterial Blood Gases and processed Venous Blood Gas results as well as ECG's. Tracheostomy care was a large part of my responsibilities that included cleaning and replacing when safe to do so. I worked in the PACU and provided mechanical ventilation for post-op patients monitoring weaning parameters and communicating with the physician the results and having orders updated. I was utilized as float staff and worked in the ICU, CCU, PICU step-down unit, and administered floor treatments ensuring proper patient technique. Communication was key for me to be successful in the ED. I accomplished a lot during my time here and the skills I attained have contributed to my being a well-rounded therapist. Show less
