I have worked within the electrical industry for over 20 years and have gained a wide range of skills from HV switch gear maintenance, large construction projects, traffic lights systems and working on the widest and most diverse array of electrical systems and maintenance jobs from shopping centers right down to domestic works and commercial appliance repairs.I started Power Concepts in 2008 and we have since gone onto being a well respected and trusted electrical contractor. We started life out as humble domestic sparkies with the business now growing to have the ability to provide a wide range of services from compliance and sub trade work right up to delivering electrical engineering consultation and the ability to complete defense contracts.Personally I have a passion to see the electrical industry succeed and grow and excited to see all the new technological improvements that make peoples live easier.Over my time as a director I have had the privilege in- representing Mater electricians Australia as the Northern Territory rep for over 5 years - representing Club clipsal as the Northern Territory rep for 2 terms- currently representing on the NT electrical licensing board as the contractor representative member.I have had the opportunity to grow Power Concepts from a small 2 employee business right up to where we are now a 15 employee business that is now operating in 3 states. We have also had the ability to expanded our services to include facilities management and our new electrical engineering department. We have also built up an extensive network of other trades to allow us to provide just about anything our clients may need from HVAC right through to fire, data and security.I am third generation Darwin boy and have the chance to do a wide range of different works alongside my electrical career from trepang diving and working on our prawn trawler across the whole of the NT coast line right through to working for the local power network operator as a high voltage technician and just about everything in between.I love to journey our beautiful country and love to learn new skills so as to raise the bar in what Power Concepts can provide, how we can provide it and where we can provide it. I have a real passion to train and up skill people and during my career have have the privilege in training and help complete over 50 apprentices (both through power concepts and my other employment) and I was extremely proud when Power Concepts was named the medium business winner of the NT training awards in 2022.
