In 2012 I completed my Bachelor Business Administration in Hotel Management (BBA.HM.) at The Hotelschool The Hague, Amsterdam branch. During this program, the key areas I have focused on are International Business, International Management and International Hospitality.Following the completion of my bachelor I attended a summer course at NYU Stern business school in accounting. Presently, I am working for Nidera B.V. an international trading and agribusiness company. From April 2013 untill August 2014 I was stationed in Maringá, Paraná, where I have learned the in's and out's of the origination process within the supply chain of the soy complex and grains industry. The learning curve has mainly been focussed on the commercial part of trading but has also included parts of logistics and execution.As of August 2014 the company moved me to São Paulo to join the Brazilian operational risk team. Our focus is on managing the traders positions and following up on any discrepancies or irregularities we discover. This is done for both the domestic and export market. Furthermore, in operational risk we work closely together with the departments execution, credit risk and control to ensure a smooth process of operations.After a year and two months of familiarizing myself with operational risk as well as the São Paulo office Nidera moved me into the soybean trade. My responsibilities holding this position were stratagizing, executing and solving problems regarding the Brazilian book. This allowed me to work closely together with execution, risk, origination as well as the departments on the back end of the organization. I held this position for one year and four months whereafter I decided to leave the company. Presently, I work for the soybeans and soymeal team at Olam in Rotterdam.
