As an associate in the Chicago office of McDermott Will & Emery, my practice focused on patent and IP counseling, including clearance, enforcement, licensing, preparation, and prosecution matters.

I joined Michael Best & Friedrich in 2001 as a Patent Engineer/Agent in the Milwaukee office, spent several years working from the firm's Madison office while attending law school, and moved to Chicago in 2006.

Drafted and prosecuted U.S. and foreign patent applications. Conducted patent searches and prepared patentability reports.

Developed and prepared finite element models and conducted finite element analysis (FEA) simulations for static and dynamic failure modes analysis. Designed and procured test stands and custom vehicle components for component, sub-assembly, and full vehicle testing.
