About Mathew Hany
As a child, I played a lot of games on the computer. One day, I accidentally deleted all of them and couldn't bring them back. With no more games to play, I thought: "Why don't I just make my own games?". I started searching, and eventually, I found a program that is used for creating games. But it was too complicated for me as a child. "I will just make my own program", I thought. But couldn't find an easy tutorial so I thought: "If I can't find a website that teaches me, I can make my own website!". I downloaded a PHP forum script and put it on a free host. Then I got curious about how these PHP websites work, so I learned PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and started programming simple websites. This is how I got into programming. Later I got curious about desktop programs so I tried Visual Basic. What about hardware? I learn C++. When smartphones became a thing, I learned some Java and explored Android Development. It has always been a journey lead by curiosity. As I grew up, my interest in computers grow with me. I was also interested in math and physics. So naturally I enjoyed problem solving and algorithms. I also enjoy learning about how to design flexible, readable, reusable and maintainable code. It is like art.At high school, I became one of the top nationally ranked students and I was lucky enough to get a full-scholarship to study Computer Science & Engineering in The German University in Cairo. My goal is to have a good influence on other people, be it through products I create, knowledge I share or by being a good team member. Achieving that goal is what keeps me motivated. So far my journey has taught me how to:- Self-learn anything- Find what I want on the internet- Balance my time effectively- Be motivated, productive, disciplined and patient- Beat procrastination
Listed skills include Python, Java, Css3, Typescript, and 8 others.
