Lead responsibility for the co-ordination and delivery of clinical skills based training programs , Simulation in collaboration with Simulation Team including resuscitation training, required by the medical curricula. Central to this will be the planning, development and delivery of a clinical skills programme for medical students and medical staff that is in line with national guidelines and academic curricula. The post holder will need to work alongside the Undergraduate Tutor, Clinical Education Fellows, Medical Education staff, Director of Medical Education, College and Specialty Tutors, Simulation Team ,Resuscitation Officer and university representatives to ensure access to, and delivery of relevant clinical skills training.Key to this will be the development of facilities that enable clinical skills training to take place. This will include working alongside the Postgraduate Clinical Skills Tutor to review existing resources and plan expansion in order to meet future demands as well as ensuring the maintenance and management of current resources.The post holder will possess the highly developed skills needed to work alongside Education Fellows to ensure the provision of support and resources for medical students and medical staff within the Trust. The post holder will represent the Trust at meetings with external organisations and education providers. The post holder will strive to continually improve the education programmes provided and develop links with other skills providers, internally and externally to exchange information and advice, promote effective working relationships, and take initiative in tackling issues relating to medical education.
