I am co-Head of the global International Arbitration Team and a partner in the Commercial Litigation Client Service Group. I have over 20 years' experience of handling commercial and international business disputes of all types, in a variety of venues, and under a variety of different laws and procedures. I have extensive trial experience in the English High Court as well as in arbitrations administered by the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Court of Arbitration, amongst others. In addition to significant litigation and arbitration experience, I also advise clients on risk management and alternative forms of dispute resolution.My client work has had a particular focus on the commodities, media and financial services sectors and my experience extends to contract and commercial disputes, shareholder and joint venture disputes, commercial fraud claims, professional negligence and breach of trust claims.Before joining Bryan Cave, I was Head of Commercial Litigation in London for Dawsons LLP. I had previously served as Managing Partner of that firm for 7 years.I am a practising solicitor advocate and have acted as lead advocate before both the Courts and domestic and international arbitration tribunals. I am also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Member of the London Court of International Arbitration, and a Member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association. I speak fluent French and have written for legal journals and for The Times.I have been recognised in the 2015-2016 edition of The Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom and am recommended for commercial litigation work in The Legal 500 UK 2015 and for international arbitration work in Chambers UK 2014.
