In April of 2015, Debbie Mathews Finch retired for the second time from the Hanover Insurance Group headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts after some 38 years in business and human resources. During those 38 years there were mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, and a “near-death” experience for The Hanover. In fact, The Hanover over the last 12 years has made the only successful turnaround in the history of the US insurance industry. Debbie played an important role in this turnaround and held various HR leadership positions during her tenure; VP Corporate Services, VP of Human Resources, VP Talent Acquisition, Vice President of Talent Management, Head Executive Coach, and Vice President of Executive Recruiting. Currently Debbie provides Business, board and human resource consulting to primarily nonprofit, start up, and small businesses looking to develop policies, procedures, best practices and to hire and retain top talent in support of their mission, or business strategy.
