Colleagues and peers of Mathias King would describe him as a hard working, tenacious, outgoing individual who always puts forth his best efforts to help others. He is an undergraduate at Western Washington University, pursuing his bachelor's degree in Urban Sustainability with a minor in Marine Science. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, camping, and backpacking. The hobbies and upbringings I have partaken in have influenced my goal to work towards lowering the carbon footprint humans have caused through nature conservancy and sustainable urban planning practices. His goals include re-connecting communities with proper urban development practices and incorporating nature to enhance urban life. His determination to help make a difference is fueled by working to create diverse communities to better social and economic interactions between humans and land.
