Responsible for developing Hewlett-Packards (HP's) new global partner portal in terms of site structure and usability while keeping in line with HP design standards. I have to document requirements and desired improvements and quality test these once they are delivered. I am also required to train and educate other team members on how new functionality works. The core team involved in building the site consists out of more than fifty people spread around the entire world which puts huge requirements on communication and virtual team work. -- The new HP portal will have around 850 000 and a million users once the migration is fully complete--Methods: Agile / SCRUMTools / Techniques: HP Agile Manager, ALM / Quality Center, Liferay - an open source system where HP's portal solution is the most complex one to date. Team lead of five resources spread out around the world. I was responsible for making sure that projects and tasks were delivered on time and as efficiently as possible. I coached and trained the team members and developed them in the direction fitting there skills as well as the need of the larger team. I devised the strategy for how to structure the upcoming new HP partner portal. I had to carefully way the needs of standardization and globalization against regional ability to adapt to local market requirements. I also had to consider what information and processes were truly globalized against the ones that only appeared to be as well as the ability to translate and localize information. Another key aspect I had to look out for was the fact that anything we would build could be maintained long term even if the portal budget would decrease. I was part of the team that evaluated the technical platform for the new site. New features, maintained capabilities, adaptability, ease of administration and cost of implementation and operation were some of the key dimensions evaluated. Prior to the work on the new portal I was one of the initiators for revamping the existing one. I managed the alignment of navigation structure between regions which tremendously simplified the transition to the new site when that time came. As part of this project I defined a solution for rendering content with the new as well as the old look depending on where it was viewed. This in turn let us migrate the regions in sequence. I was also the lead for a virtual team consisting of the regional portal webmasters. I made sure that any technical solution was understood and was suitable cross regions mitigating the risk of implementation. I aligned the regional asks and defined the requirements for our developer. HP is transitioning from a regional channel partner portal structure toward a globalized model. I am responsible for managing the site navigation and publishing on a WW level and for driving further standardization and harmonization toward this framework. To achieve this objective I have to interpret the requirements of the business units and internal stakeholders and develop these into solutions on the portal. I also have to socialize any project with our four regions and manage the respective webmasters to meet the deadlines that I set.

As the regional portal webmaster in EMEA I was responsible for the continuous development and improvement of the HP channel partner portal to support HP’s go-to-market strategy. The work I conducted during this time manifested itself into the go forward portal design to be rolled out in all regions.
