Managed the Strategic IP Management team of the BIOTRONIK Vascular Intervention business unit, a leading manufacturer of medical devices for coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. Responsible with my team for the development, alignment and execution of the business unit’s global IP strategy.

Conducted prior art and freedom to operate analyses to determine the patentability of inventions and estimated the risk of infringement of third party IP rights. Evaluated patent portfolios and business plans to develop strategies for aligning IP with business objectives. Elaborated patent commercialization strategies and facilitated strategic alliances to enhance the valorisation and exploitation of patent assets. Was appointed expert for the performance of IP road maps with start-up companies participating in the business coaching program promoted and sponsored by the Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI, Innosuisse). Established IP due diligence reports to facilitate and support the decision-making process of the CTI Certification Board. Prepared and conducted R&D and licensing deal negotiations to realize win-win situations for the involved parties. Lectured and trained entrepreneurs and students on IP and technology transfer matters.
