Current• Responsible of managing the electrical/instrumentation engineering department.• Participate to various project design reviews to determine design strategies. Validate ongoing project design solutions and accept final solutions based on historical data and technical expertise.• Fully accountable for department performance and quality level. Performance managed through Quality and Budgetary KPIs• Improvement of overall company performance in collaboration with senior management and other directors through the realization of Kaizen workshops and implementation of the resulting plans and measurement of the improvement. • Responsible to Identify and “de-risk” obsolescence of existing components. Prepare a prototype, test, phase-out, Phase-in plan of replacement hardware.• In collaboration with quality, process recuring non quality to identify potential causes and put in place a mitigation plan to avoid recurrence or replacement suppliers as required.• Participate in high risk or new developments costing to provide guidelines and investigate potential solutions with a working group. • Participate to the development of Novel solutions in partnership with engineers from my department, providing guidance and support.• Development of department standard designs in partnership with senior designers to improve delivery performance, lower cost of non quality and shortening of site deployment times.• Responsible to evaluate, establish and maintain the proper workforce required to support the engineering needs. • Establish the performance review of the department employees and manage salary treatment accordingly.• Participate in the Hiring process and as required termination of employees work contracts in the department.
