I have entirely created an Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) prototype with a novel approach based on simultaneous measurement with frequency division multiplexing. This prototype were applied to thermal-hydraulic phenomena in the primary side of pressurised water nuclear reactors in accidental scenarios.- In parallel, I have developed a C++ simulation code with finite element method to optimise the physical characteristics of the EIT prototype, and tested it experimentally on high pressure (250 bar) and temperature (600°C) in Germany and in Norway. [1]- I have also simulated the phenomenology and highlighting the sensitivity map of EIT measurements [2]- Finally , I have created a data acquisition system including an innovative simultaneous excitation and measurement strategy, based on a frequency division multiplexing, that multiply by 100 the imaging rate of EIT compared with the state of art, while reducing the error on the measurement and overall data size. Based in Japan. The ATLAS experiment of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Pixel Detector semi-conductor chip FE-I4 and DAQ system. Data Analysis of Higgs boson pairs in the yybb channel.To understand accurately the necessity for the LHC upgrade for Higgs pair detection, I have performed a qualitative simulation study of the physics case on two phenomena involving rare Higgs production processes. One is the potential discovery of other type of Higgs boson predicted by the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. The Heavy Neutral Higgs can decay to a pair of Higgs bosons, each of which would be detected in the upgraded ATLAS detector. The other is to measure the Higgs self-coupling through the Higgs pair production. The Higgs self-coupling is one of the important properties of the Higgs boson to understand the electroweak symmetry breaking in the Higgs potential of the standard model. Both simulation studies are based on Higgs pair production and background events. I have focused on Higgs pair decaying in the γγbb channel where one Higgs boson decays to a pair of photons and the other to a pair of b-quark and anti b-quark. I have computed the number of the heavy Higgs boson expected in the ATLAS detector at the end of run 3, depending on its mass. To study the self-coupling, I have also estimated the number of the signal and background events predicted by the standard model.In parallel and in a necessity to interact with the staff, I have followed two advanced japanese language programs for over three years.

Internship for the Canadian particle physics experiment PICASSO, looking for the neuralino as candidate for dark matter, a particle predicted by the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. During this internship, I have essentially developpped a C++ code to automatise the discrimination of alpha and neutrons collision events in the detector for its calibration. It implied experiments with radioactive sources.Final report title (French) : Étude de la discrimination Alpha/Neutron pour le calibrage des détecteurs dans le cadre du projet PICASSO.Supervisor : Prof. Viktor Zacek (Search for dark matter candidates)
