• Oversaw the planning and implementation of Project Rajo II, coordinating a team of 5 staff in Somalia to train 200 youth in Bosaso and Baidoa in construction and soft-skills, supporting procurement of relevant supplies and venues, and going from inception phase to implementation within 1 month.• Designed and evaluated M&E mechanisms that were gender-sensitive and aimed at centring those furthest left behind (IDPs, minority clan members). This included qualitative and quantitative pre- and post-training surveys, work-plans, designing both soft-skills and hard-skills training, and creating plans for a job-fair platform for graduates of the program.• Edited and designed construction-training manuals for Project Rajo II in Somali and English, drawing on local and international expertise to update and refine existing material.• Completed SSAFE training in Mogadishu.General work• Contributed to the evaluation of the Somalia Strengthening Institutions for Public Works Project RAJO I, applying UN-Habitat RBM guidelines, conducting 10 interviews, and producing both a 10-page summary evaluation as well as a 50-page overall evaluation.• Supported the creation of developing indicators to measure progress on the Youth, Peace and Security agenda through desk-research, interviews with relevant stakeholders, and supporting building a community of practitioners.• Supported the organising, execution, and media-engagement of a Side-Event at UNGA74 on the YPS & Climate Change nexus, reaching 3.6M impressions on social media. • Support the development of a Network of City Champions for YPS.• Provided substantive guidance and technical expertise, as well as drafting and research capacity on youth issues, on youth led development, mobilizing youth, youth training, etc..• Contributed to research and writing of the UN-Habitat Covid-19 Response strategy.

• Policy & Programming: o Reviewed, drafted, or otherwise contributed to over 80 project proposals on issues ranging from Peacebuilding, Climate Change, Human Rights, Gender, Youth and beyond in urban and rural-urban continuum contexts, touching on urban policy, legislation, sustainable urbanisation, and urban development issues.o Desk-level research on policy-developments related to the Youth, Peace and Security-agenda, evaluating and formulating existing positions, and engaging strategic partners.• Communication: o Drafted speeches for high-level (ED, Head of Unit) on diverse topics relevant to UN-Habitat’s work on Gender-Equality, Urban Mobility, Inclusive Development, Leaving No One Behind, and more.o Created various booklets, brochures, and posters using InDesign and other related software.

• Initiated and supported the concept-development of the UNYD LU Program.• Disseminating LU Youth Perspectives at the UN through participation in 3rd Committee, UN Youth Resolution negotiations, and sponsoring side-events on Youth radicalisation & extremism, as well as Youth not in employment, education or training (NEET).• Organised international UNYDs into a policy-group that disseminated the Youth Resolution, identifying which UNYDs would be able to get their missions to support collectively agreed on amendments,• Raising awareness for UN programs & HR through visiting LU schools, organising expert-panels with relevant civil-society actors and NGOs, and communicating through social media & traditional media channels.

• Overseeing and coordinating daily activities to assure organisational growth in all sectors,• Representative to the international board of EYP, supporting the development of our international framework,• Successfully set up EYP LU as fastest recognised National Committee in EYP history,• Organised two international 100+ people conferences uniting 20+ nationalities each time, for which we gained a combined €70k in sponsorship funds.

My portfolio encompassed finances, logistics of the sessions as a whole, and organising specifically the public speaking workshop, and European Youth Parliament-simulation.

I varied positions between representing the school at the national level, our internal education council tasked with budget control and internal affairs, as well as organising events throughout the year. I take personal pride in co-organising a fundraiser for an Indian NGO working with street-children that raised +€17k.

Represent the local interests of my school, as well as coordinate with other councils to make the students' voices heard at national level.
